Intellectual Property
- Original Designs: Ensure that all designs uploaded to Gelato are original or that you have the proper rights and permissions to use them.
- Copyright Infringement: Do not use designs that infringe on the intellectual property rights of others. This includes trademarks, logos, or copyrighted material unless you have explicit permission to use them.
Content Restrictions:
- Prohibited Content: Designs must not contain hate speech, violence, nudity, or any other content deemed inappropriate or offensive. This includes but is not limited to racist, sexist, or otherwise discriminatory content.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Be mindful of cultural symbols and practices. Avoid using designs that could be considered culturally insensitive or offensive.
Design Quality:
- Resolution: Upload high-resolution designs to ensure quality printing. Typically, a minimum of 300 DPI (dots per inch) is recommended.
- File Formats: Follow Gelato’s specifications for file formats. Commonly accepted formats include PNG, JPEG, and PDF, depending on the product.
Legal and Regulatory Compliance
Local Laws and Regulations:
- Compliance: Ensure that your designs and products comply with the local laws and regulations of the countries where your products are sold and shipped.
- Restricted Items: Some items may be restricted or prohibited in certain regions. Be aware of these restrictions when designing and selling products.
Consumer Rights:
- Returns and Refunds: Familiarize yourself with Gelato’s return and refund policies. Provide clear information to your customers about these policies.
- Data Privacy: Comply with data protection regulations such as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) if you are handling personal information from customers.
